New York 01
Jørn Freddie did a poster for Scandinavian Airlines in the late 1970's. It was shot on Manhattan from groundlevel looking up, somewhere on 6th avenue and W 51st street.
Emil Monty Freddie grew up looking at this picture hanging on the walls of his parents bedroom. Whenever he would look at it, he would imagine his grandfather standing in the streets with his Hasselblad looking up at this fantastic view through his viewfinder. Rumor has it that Jørn Freddie was lying down in the middle of the street while the trafficlights would go from red to green, and by the time the cars started speeding up, he clicked the shutter and got what he came for.
Around 45 years later, Emil Monty Freddie took off to New York to find the same spot. After some walking around in the city, he managed to find the exact same location and did his own interpretation of what Jørn Freddie must have been seeing so many years ago.
